Le caratteristiche della lotta biologica integrata.
The constant orientation of the Lorenzini Naturamica Agricultural Company towards the needs of the consumer has motivated us to orient our production towards the cultivation techniques of Organic Agriculture. We have thus refined our skills through a five-year training and collaboration course with the “Suolo e Salute” Biological School of Turin.
From the experience acquired over the years and through investments supported, the cultivated area has expanded allowing it to become an Biological-Integrated company.
The biological control, specifically, consists of the conservation and use of antagonistic insects existing in the natural environment, with the purpose of controlling the density of phytophagous populations and keeping them within limits considered below the economic damage thresholds.
Integrated Biological Pest Management is a control system for harmful organisms that uses all available control factors and techniques that prioritize natural limiting factors (parasites and natural predators) and damage thresholds.
It is therefore a method of rationalisation of the use of all phytoiatric resources, which tends to optimise them to safeguard agricultural production in compliance with the ecological system.
The main features
Impollination
Impollination exclusively by bees from hives placed around the cultivated areas.
Insects and mites
Use of insects and predatory mites in the anti-parasite defense, for a healthier and more natural treatment.
Crop rotation
Adoption of suitable crop rotation to allow the grounds to have excellent productive quality.
Selected Varieties
Use of varieties with excellent organoleptic qualities, grafted on varieties resistant to soil diseases.
Artesian well
Exclusive use of artesian well water, therefore controlled and of quality, for the irrigation of fields.
No geodisinfestants
Exclusion of the use of geodisinfestants in the fight against soil insects, in favour of natural techniques.
Plant protection products
Use of plant protection products of natural origin only when the damage threshold for the crop is exceeded.
Natural fertilizer
Use of mature manure and natural fertilizers for healthy growth of all crops.
Mowing of weeds
Periodic mowing of weeds on the margins of crops, to preserve the natural balance.
Regular checks
Regular monitoring of the seedlings in the field and recording of any anomalies, to act on a preventive level.
